Orphaned Land
I got turned on to Orphaned Land a while ago and I can't say enough about them. They are a band out of Israel, and they are quite heavy. However, they also have a lot of traditional middle-eastern folk influences. Imagine a middle eastern version of Opeth, and you'll have an idea of what they're like.
